Nation Cup Update
We are into the final round of the Pool matches. Some teams have already booked their place in the knockout stages, while others are still staking their claim for a shot at the playoffs. ONC NC I - Week 2
The Nation Cup finishes the second week of play and all match results have been confirmed. There has been no shortage of surprises again this week, as tournament favorites suffer their first losses and new favorites emerge. NC Updates
All second week matches have been played and there have been a few rough patches. Certain teams have failed in following the rules and we will warn those teams in specific but let it be said that this counts as a warning for all teams.
- When used, X-Ray must be used properly, next team to use X-Ray improperly the opposing team can claim to replay the match or even have the default win.
- We have made exceptions for the overall rosters, but please note: The rule that states only 3 players from a lineup can be from the same team must be followed. A match can not start with 4 players of the same team playing in one lineup. Rosters are still open for one more week so you have plenty of time to edit the roster so that this requirement can be dealt with.
Now back to the sunny side. For all the match results we will await BillyBigBalls' post who kindly accepted my offer to write (and mainly link to AAO-Daily) news for this NC. So cheers to Billy for writing for us I'm sure he will be a contribution to the ONC team. Billy being a member of the UK team he has no private access or whatsoever so be assured fair play is reserved. Not that Billy would abuse his position but he can only post news on our main page and moderate the comments (so check your comments from time to time before they contain wild statements about sheep and what not).
I will give my personal view though on Week 2 (Pipeline). It featured a few exciting matches and I'm happy to see there were a few upset wins. In Poule A 
Poland just missed out against the underdogs from the 
UK. In Poule B the tipped favorite 
Netherlands lost after a strong start to 
France. My last surprise came from 
Czech Republic. Most of their members made a strong performance in the ESL Premiers but they lost their second match in a row, 
Slovenia giving the second blow.
That was all, only thing that remains to say is we have updated the About and Staff pages! All the NC Poule matches have been added as well so all teams have a clear view now of who they're facing in what week so they can plan things better. We're also still looking for admins for after the NC and a graphic designer who can help our organization.

ONC NC I - Week 1
With a messy start of the NC almost all first week matches have been played. Our troubled situation remains though and we're still experiencing problems with our staff activity. University exams end this week though so our expectations for the upcoming weeks are high. That and the fact no problems have occurred so far is a good sign for the future.

NationCup I - Announced
We can finally announce the first official matches in our main event. One of the qualifying nations dropped out which lead to the fact no qualifier was needed. All the poules are now up and ready and the first matches are online.
All team captains and players can find their team password on their private forum and join by finding their own team in the NationCup page. Rosters need to complete by coming Monday, all passwords will be reset then.
Before the first matches go live on 3 November we need to decide on a few things. To do this we would like to keep an IRC meeting on the 27th of October at 20:00 CET. The meeting will be held in our IRC channel #onenightcup and everyone who's associated with the NC can have their say on some key issues that we want to let the players decide on. Until then, good luck preparing and we're looking forward to see each Nation's roster fill up.
